Guth Laboratories, Inc. was founded in 1976 by the late Richard U. Guth and his wife Nancy.

Guth Laboratories, Inc. holds numerous US and foreign patents in the field of Breath Alcohol Analysis. We are committed to improving the accuracy and precision of alcohol breath testing by providing the highest quality standards while making the process of verification easier for the end user. Guth simulators and certified alcohol solutions are accepted as the standard of the industry worldwide. Our products are approved by the National Highway Traffic Safety Association (NHTSA) and appear on the Conforming Products List (CPL) . All our Certified Premix Solutions are traceable to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) references. All major manufacturer’s of evidential breath analyzers have accepted and use Guth simulators.

In the early 1990’s Guth Laboratories became the 3rd producer worldwide to manufacturer fuel cell sensors for detecting and measuring alcohol in the human breath. We continue to manufacture sensors for various manufacturers worldwide.
